Bridget B’s is a growing independent food retailer with two sites, offering a wide range of fresh, prepared, and specialist products. With an increasing online presence and a loyal customer base, they required a system that could support both in-store operations and order fulfilment across multiple locations.
The Challenge
Managing products, prices, and orders across two sites presented a number of challenges. Bridget B’s needed to ensure pricing consistency between stores, accurate labelling, and a smooth process for completing customer orders coming from their website. Manual processes risked errors, duplicated work, and delays in order fulfilment, particularly during busy trading periods.
The Solution
South Coast Systems implemented Dimension Pro as the central platform linking both sites, creating one unified system for product and price control. Dimension Pro connects directly to the Avery Berkel scales, Electronic Shelf Labels (ESLs), and the Bridget B’s website, ensuring complete consistency across all sales channels.
To streamline order fulfilment, ProGo handheld scanners were introduced. Orders received from the website flow straight into Dimension Pro, allowing staff to pick and complete orders quickly by scanning products rather than weighing and processing everything at the scale. Once completed, orders are instantly updated in Dimension Pro, ready for invoicing or dispatch.
ESLs ensure that shelf prices always match scale labels and online pricing, removing the need for manual price changes and reducing the risk of errors across both locations.
